Affected population: From a subpopulation of 106 cattle, about 51 cattle from 2 different kraals at Sigwe crush-pen (Sigwe village) showed clinical signs of blisters and ulcers on dental pads and interdigital space. The total population of cattle at Sigwe crush-pen is 700.

[Between July and September 2017, 6 outbreaks of FMD-SAT 2 were reported in cattle in the Zambezi region. The event was declared resolved in February 2018. The source of infection was due to contact with wild animals.
