Affected population: The affected animals are cattle, local and cross breeds of different sex and age groups under an agropastoral system. The farms are in a cluster, in close contact during grazing and watering at River Kafu that separates the 3 districts of Nakaseke, Masindi and Nakasongola. There is a lot of animal movement in these areas for pastures, water and trade in cattle markets.
